Research Interests

What are the principles of self-organization of intelligent information processing? This is the central question I am interested in. I address this question with methods from mathematics and computational modeling in the domains of vision and memory (hippocampus). I am also interested in technical applications and believe in a fruitful interaction between computational neuroscience and machine learning or computer vision.
