General Information

The International Graduate School of Neuroscience (IGSN) at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum accepts applications for associate membership in its PhD program all year-round.

What Does Associate Membership Mean?

PhD researchers funded by a doctoral position or scholarship outside the IGSN (e.g., a position at the department where they want to conduct their doctorate) can apply for associate membership in the IGSN.

Associate members follow the IGSN PhD program and complete the curriculum in the same way as scholarship holders. They have the same rights and obligations as fellows.

The primary supervisor of the PhD candidate has to be a faculty member of the IGSN (a full list of members is available on the IGSN faculty members page).
